Does a kid have to be fat to be at risk for diabetes?
my little brother has such a poor diet, and my parents arent doing anything to change it. im so sick of it. he isnt fat at all, but all he eats is junk. im working on a little speech to get my parents to actually do something about his poor diet. frankly, i think he is on his way to getting diabetes. but since he isnt fat, im not entirely sure if he is.

I took a Glucose test 2 weeks ago and got my results last week. My levels are 137. If I stop drinking regular soda and go to diet soda can this fix the problem? On an average day I drink 5 soda pop cans. Isn't anything over 126 considered diabetic? Anyone know about this kind of thing?This was a 12 hour fasting glucose test. They drew blood, no finger prick.I looked at all of the diet soda's I drink and there are no artificial sweeteners in diet soda. Also, people think because you are overweight you must eat junk food cake,cookies,etc.. of which I don't eat any. I gained all of my weight having 2 baby's back to back. It has been a struggle to lost the weight since I had my kids 8 years ago.

Whenever I'm eating a meal, I always have to have some kind of sweet or carb. It's not really a craving. I feel like my body actually needs it. I get extremely irritated, agitated, sweaty, and anxious. For example, If I'm eating chicken and a vegetable, I need bread of some kind. I'm constantly craving for bread. I'm a bit underweight but not by much. I'm 5'7 and 112 lbs. I thought I was tested for diabetes before but it came up negative. My dad has type 2 diabetes so I know it's not genetic. Any ideas??
How bad can abdominal pain associated with diabetes be, and what kind of pain is it?
bloating, cramping, sharp or stabbing, constant or occasional. made worse by anything, I basically would like someone to describe what abdominal pain that is caused by diabetes feels like. What are the ranges of pain 1 10. And what else would be associated with the pain besides the normal diabetic symptoms such as type of stool or something like that.I have read several things on it that says that it is a symptom if it being untreated.
How to stop thinking I have diabetes?
I do not have diabetes, but I cannot stop thinking that I do and I need help to stop thinking I do. A doctor who specializes in diabetes has told me that I do not have the disease. I borrowed a monitor from work and I check my blood sugar religiously and while my blood sugar hovers in the upper 90s to lower 100s, it is never near diabetic range though. I just got over an episode of prostatitis and because of this infection I have started to drink more water. However, every time I drink water I think to myself, oh my God I'm thirsty and think I need more water. I know I'm not actually thirsty, but because I'm thinking I am thirsty, I feel like I am thirsty. Add to that the fact that I am going to the bathroom all the time because of the water I drink and you can see why I think I have diabetes. I took my fasting blood sugar this morning and it was 94. The doctor has told me I don't have it. My meter constantly tells me I don't have it. But, I can't keep thinking I do. How do I stop?? Everytime I drink I think I'm thirsty. Every time I urinate I think it's because of diabetes. How do I stop??

I am trying to understand what effects Diabetes has on a male, and what exactly occurs that causes erectile dysfunction as a result of having diabetes.If ED occurs in someone due to undiagnosed Diabetes, can the ED condition be reversed once the diabetes is brought under control with medication insulin?In other words, will whatever is causing the ED due to diabetes correct itself once blood sugar levels are brought under control?
