If my diabetic 48 yr old husband stops smoking, will his impotence improve significantly?
More details 48 y o diabetic male with slight nerve damage in his feet. He has been in excellent control for the past 10 years A1C avg is 6.0 . He was diagnosed diabetic at 32. His erections have not been very strong since he was 35..Viagra helps slightly. He smokes cigarettes. So my number one question is that now that is working on quitting with the pill Chantix, will his erections improve drastically after he is done with cigarettes or is his impotence problem mostly related to his diabetes?
How much is too much sugar (i.e. to put yoiu at risk of being diabetic)?
I'm 22 now and I know I'm not obese I cycle to uni and do hockey and hillwalking however I worry that if I eat too much sugar, then I'll become diabetic.I've cut back a bit since I was a teen, I used to have the equivalent of 4 mars bars a day in terms of chocolate but now its probably 2 at the most. Is that ok?

Pre-diabetic and lump in throat?
Since Monday I have been having this annoying lump in my throat feeling so last night I went to the E.R. and they did some check ups on me about the lump in my throat and everything came back negative they think that my tonsils could be swollen and they also checked my urine and found sugar in it and they checked my blood and it was okay not high, next Monday I have a doctors appointment to see if am pre diabetic or not because I do have a family history of diabetes so my question is can the lump in my throat be caused by pre diabetes??and I have no symptoms of pre diabetes I feel fine but it's the lump in my throat that's really bothering methey also checked for thyroids and it came back negativeor could it just be my swollen tonsils?Thank you
Could lymecycline antibiotic cause diabetic type symptom's?
I've been on lymecycline for about 5 week's now. This last week, i've started feel a little run down, had excessive pin's and needle's in my feet, and hand's, aching muscles, slight blurry blotchy vision, abit of a dodge stomach, and just general tiredness. All symptom's that echo my mum's diabetes. She was only diagnosed about 12 month's ago, with type 1. So i'm now wondering if my symptoms could be the first sign's of diabetes, or side effects from the antibiotic's i'm on? Maybe even some kind of circulation problem's?I like too think i live a pretty healthy life. Eating a pretty healthy diet, and exercising as much as i can. Obviously i need too get to my doctor's for a properly analysis But they were fully booked this week, and unfortunately i'm away next week. I will get too my doctor's as soon as i return home, and especially if my symptom's persist. But in the mean time, just wondering if anyone could offer me some advice please?
Pre-diabetic or borderline diabetic!? ((help))?
Two nights ago I went to the E.R.because I had this weird lump in my throat I did x rays and cat scan and blood test and everything came back negative the doctors think I might have swollen tonsils and they also checked for thyroid and it also came back negative, but what they did check was that I had sugar in my urine my family has a history of diabetes they checked my blood and it was not high my mom thinks I could be pre diabetic or borderline diabetic but I don't have any symptoms of any pre diabetic or borderline diabetes I feel fine and normal, Monday I have a doctors appointment to see if I have diabetes or not and am praying to God I don't have diabetes and am scared my question is Do I really have diabetes? because I don't have any symptoms and I feel fine and does a lump in the throat mean I have diabetes?Thank you
