Questions for a diabetes management nurse?
I would like to become an RN and specialize in diabetes management. I've heard that diabetes management nurses work with diabetes patients and help them manage their condition. However, I was just wondering what a typical day is like for these nurses and all of the things that they do? I don't really want to work closely with blood or people with infectious diseases or anything and so I'm trying to figure out if diabetes management is for me. Thanks

Can Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy be used to supplement normal diabetes management to ensure good limb health?
Hi I went to the podiatrist the other day and had my feet checked and they had to turn the dial up to 31 for me to even feel the slightest vibration on the soles of my feet from the machine.I've had diabetes type I since I was 13, had a quadruple heart bypass last November. Besides the ongoing insulin therapy, can I opt for HBOT to sort of improve my lower limb health, since mostly diabetic foot ulcers and general poor healing is a result of the constriction of arteries due to the decreased delivery of oxygen, and complicated by neuropathy?Will Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy help in the long term to slow down limb health degeneration?Thanks for your kind answers.
