Does this sound like diabetes?
Whenever I'm eating a meal, I always have to have some kind of sweet or carb. It's not really a craving. I feel like my body actually needs it. I get extremely irritated, agitated, sweaty, and anxious. For example, If I'm eating chicken and a vegetable, I need bread of some kind. I'm constantly craving for bread. I'm a bit underweight but not by much. I'm 5'7 and 112 lbs. I thought I was tested for diabetes before but it came up negative. My dad has type 2 diabetes so I know it's not genetic. Any ideas??
Do you think I have diabetes?
I thought for a while that I had it. But, recently my old symptoms have dissappeared. But tonight they came back. Here's what happened. I ate dinner at 6pm then I worked out at 8 30, I always do. But this time, as soon as I was almost finished 8 58 I suddenly felt a huge drop in blood sugar. I became weak, could hardly stand, I felt dizzy and like I had a fever, my hands were shaking, and I was hungry. This never happens, because I always work out at this time and usually have a nice yogurt for a snack after. However, tonight after this episode occured I ate a yogurt, chocolate muffin, and 10 ritz crackers. It has been thirty minutesnow and I am not shaking any more. I also have to urinate frequently all of a sudden. I can eat sugar by the way Do you think these are signs of diabetes? Thank you

WHY did my Dr. diagnose me with diabetes, then send me home with no meds?
Yesterday I was diagnosed with diabetes. I've asked several q's here on Yahoo but I haven't rcvd a " clear" answer yet on the above question. I didn't think to ask my doctor why he was sending me home after diagnosing me with diabetes, but with no meds because after being told," You have diabetes" , you don't think. I was in a daze and overwhelmingly stunned. However, is it normal to send a person home without meds to help control blood sugar. I am 33, married with 3 small children, and I'm devastated and very upset about ALL of this. What are your thoughts?I've ALREADY acknowledge that I've asked several q's here. That would be pretty normal for a person who's life has been changed FOREVER in only 48 hours, at 33 years old with a new family and no knowledge on diabetes. However, the answers I received on my other posts were all great The doctor said to visit the ADA website, continue to diet and exercise, and see him in 3 months. I'm not sure why he didn't meds to help lower blood sugar was appropriate which is why I'm asking this current q.
My Dr. Just told I have diabetes! Any advice?
I am 33 years old. Yesterday, my primary physician told me that I have diabetes. He just pricked my finger after I shared symptoms and knew on the spot. However, my OBGYN told me last fall that I was pre diabetic and to get on a " diabetic diet" . I am SO angry. I feel the OBGYN should have prescribed something to help control my blood sugar BEFORE it got to this point. However, my pri. dr. didn't prescribe ANYTHING either yesterday. He just told me I had diabetes, to visit ADA website, and to come back to see him in 3 months Is this normal? Why do doctors seem to just wait around on MY health and just observe or wait till things get worse before doing anything about it? I am so devastated My husband, however, has been very loving and supportive which is what I need right now. I have 3 small sons and can't imagine living a sickly life before their little eyes. What are your thoughts? No, my PRIMARY DR. said I had diabetes on yesterday. HE didn't prescribe anything. Why?

I need help controlling my Diabetes?
Hi. I know what most of you are going to say. Go ask you doctor, and think about the consequences. I know this...however, I am having so much trouble controlling my eating habits. I have Type 1 diabetes, and I have the hardest time eating healthy. I am currently overweight by about 25 pounds and definitely need to lose some weight. I seem to eat healthy and control my portions during the day, but when I get home at night I just pig out, not necessarily with unhealthy foods, but just a lot, which in turn shoots my blood sugar up. Afterwards, I feel horrible and am so angry at myself. I know that I am killing myself slowly, but I just can not stop eating so much. I really need some suggestions, and anything would help. Thank you for your time
